We the owners, Anthony and Teresita Thompson, would like to formally present ourselves as well as our brand, Konig Flooring and Distribution.
From the first day I was acquainted with the flooring industry at the age of 15, I took an interest in flooring. Due to my fascination with flooring and installation, I went from a trained helper of 5 years to a self-made installer of 24 years.
During that 24 year time, my wife and I opened our home and shed into a sales location starting with only one Olympia Tile carpet deck, and one Tarkett Linoleum display.
Here is a brief summary of how we developed into our very own brand, Konig Flooring.
We began by selling flooring installation in a van.
We grew into a 24' by 24' garage, and brought in more distributor displays
Advanced into combining our home and garage, making a 2500 square foot showroom.
We then purchased a 3000 square foot warehouse across town in Morinville.
Afterwards we developed our warehouse and expanded it by 1500 square feet.
We sold our original 2500 square foot showroom.
After some time we became displeased with the overwhelming control and lack of quality of all of our distributed products.
We took the plunge and began to develop our own brand where we could control and maintain the quality of our products.
We then ordered our first container of Luxury Vinyl Plank Flooring.
After becoming independent we recognized how immensely empowering and beneficial it become for us in the flooring industry.
We removed all display and distributors from our company and became a self-sufficient manufacturer.
Since our venture into vinyl flooring , the popularity of Luxury Vinyl Plank has significantly increased in popularity and is now one of most dominant and preferred options in the flooring industry.
Due to our blessings, we have had great opportunities to open our original Edmonton store of 6000 square feet, all the way to leasing our current 18,000 square foot showroom
We are now helping store owners to use our Konig Brand to achieve the independence they strive for. You too can have the opportunity to experience the same blessings we received by becoming a partner with us.
